More versatile than dumb bells, med balls are best used for explosive movements which help train the neuromuscular system. The fallacy that weight training makes you slower was built by body builders who wouldn’t even know how to spell med ball, much less how to implement one into a sound training program. Being stronger doesn’t necessarily translate to being faster. But you can be both. You just have to transfer the strength you’ve built in the gym to the real world. And that takes balls—med balls!
