Continued Training/Lifestyle Coaching
Just like a flowing river is never the same water twice, your body is constantly changing, too. You're not the same person you were a year ago. Indeed, since the body turns over approximately two million red blood cells every second, you're not even the same person you were a moment ago. Andrew's approach to training recognizes this fact. He offers continued training and program design to address any physiological factors uncovered during the CHEK assessment to help support a client's development. And as you progress, so does your program. For example, the more proficient a person becomes at any one movement, the less beneficial that particular pattern becomes from a body transformation perspective. Ask some of Andrew's clients who have worked with him for over a decade--they'll tell you they've never done the same workout more than once. Continued Training/Coaching with Andrew offers the client continuity of care specific to the individual so that constantly changing performance and health goals can be achieved.
Support is needed to implement any change. While Andrew's ultimate goal is to get a client to become self sufficient and able to follow his program(s) on his/her own, he understands that a more hands on approach is often required in the initial stages. Thus, as long as scheduling allows, Andrew is willing to train a client multiple times per week for as long as necessary. And even as the client becomes more confident, Andrew recommends exercise programs be updated at least once every 4-6 weeks to prevent pattern overload or neurological stagnation. Additionally, reassessments lasting 1-1.5 hours should be performed periodically, as well.
Holistic Lifestyle Coaching
A critical component of this philosophy is multiple Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching sessions. Most of us learn best in layers. Thus, as the client's capacity for understanding grows, Andrew encourages a deeper exploration into how nutrition and the other Foundational Principles of Health can impact a person's quality of life. Specific forms are completed again to quantify improvement. New concepts are introduced. And while he focuses on their recent achievements, Andrew offers practical ways the client can implement the knowledge gained from each successive lesson. Frequency of Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching sessions is determined by the client in collaboration with Andrew.
