365 Ways #196–Vitamin D and Cancer

#196--The fifth most common cancer among women is Endometrial cancer. Its primary risk factors include exposure to high estrogen levels (from plastics, cans, conventionally farmed food, etc) and obesity, which increases the chances of developing the disease by between three and five fold.

According to a recent study, vitamin D supplementation “inhibited the carcinogenic effect of obesity on the endometrium”, in mouse models of obesity. So scientists believe taking vitamin D as a supplement may decrease the likelihood of developing this disease. But it's a supplement. It's not a substitute. What you might want to consider first is keeping your body fat at optimal levels for you. In other words, follow the Six Foundational Principles of Health--these are the real "magic pills" to living a life of vitality.
