365 Ways #206–Sugar is sugar?

#206--All sugar is not created equal (and no sugar is created Equal). When you eat 120 calories of glucose, less than 1 calorie is stored as fat. When you eat 120 calories of high fructose corn syrup, 40 calories are stored as fat. That’s one of the methods by which HFCS consumption leads to metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, and excess fat around the belly. And in case you thought Agave was natural (which is the same reasoning the corn lobby will use to say corn syrup is harmless), it typically has more fructose content than high fructose corn syrup!

If it hasn't been on this earth for 10,000 years, don't eat it.
