#268--4.2 BILLION. That's the amount of money spent by the fast food industry to convince people to eat their crap. After all, it takes a lot of money to indoctrinate people into sacrificing their health for convenience or for their sugar, salt, or fat addictions. If even a tenth of that figure went to making food which would actually sustain life, these companies would still be making plenty of money. Can you imagine pulling up to a McDonald's one day and ordering food that was sourced locally--maybe even picked that day from a farmed plot beside the restaurant? I know. This is reality I'm supposed to be living in. I need to remember that. And you need to remember this: the more money spent to advertise a food, the worse it is for you.
