#170--95% of the academic systems in the western world utilize teachings from a mathematical/logical format which emphasize reading from books. Unfortunately, estimates hold that only 5-8% of people learn effectively using this method. The majority of us fall into the following categories ordered from most to least common:

--Visual Dominant Learners (watch the lesson)
--Auditory Dominant Learners (hear the lesson)
--Kinesthetic Dominant Learners (feel the lesson by doing it)
