365 Ways #275–Fish: Farmed or Wild?

#275--It's no contest. From a health perspective, wild fish is the only choice. I wouldn't touch it otherwise. Farmed fish are subject to diseases and parasites due to being raised in unnaturally close quarters. Thus, to keep them alive, they are fed an enormous amount of antibiotics, fungicides, and pesticides. It's a lot like how conventionally farmed cattle are raised except this industry is largely unregulated. The drugs used when farming fish are often the ones which have been studied the least. And since our food condenses the nutrition or (more accurately when it comes to farmed fish) the toxins in that food, we get a whopping dose of designer, synthetic chemicals with every bite. Don't be the blind in this double blind study. Go wild.
