#286--According to the National Institute of Health, sleeping aids like Ambien, Lunesta, and the like decrease the time it takes a person takes to fall asleep by a mere 18 minutes. You can get better results with no detoxification burden if you'll simply turn off the t.v. and the computer and dim the lights. Oh, and maybe get to bed 18 minutes earlier.
