#343--A doctor whose first instinct isn't pharmaceutical may tell you to eat a banana if you've got high blood pressure. With around 400mg of potassium per serving, that's not a bad suggestion. The potassium will produce relaxation of blood vessels and is proven to be more effective if taken in the form of whole foods rather than supplements. But if the idea of a daily banana doesn't a peel to you (pun intended), then check out the other potassium rich foods (with the ones in bold my preferred choices for health):
