It concluded that within 5 years of a cervical injury, there was a 72% chance of incurring a major lumbar injury if the original injury was not rehabbed properly. The other study focused on the lumbar spine. It found that within 5 years of a lumbar injury, there was a high likelihood of a correlating pathology to the cervical spine if the lumbar injury was not appropriately addressed. How high? 72%. The exact same number!
